Hi! I’m Kristie
I was nine when I lost a family member. Going through that grief process with my family, I thought, “There has to be someone who helps kids with stuff like this.” That was the day I decided to be a Marriage, Family & Child Therapist. I did not know what it was called, however, I did know I needed help. From that day on, I studied children, education, psychology, relationships, play therapy, family, systems, people and did a lot of my own work to heal. The route to healing is connection, kind, caring connection. The route to connection with children is play. Because we are hurt in relationship, and we heal in relationship, it is my life’s work to help people connect and love each other well.

We help children and families work through struggles in a unique way, utilizing play to process and communicate.
Therapy for children is very different. Children need someone who understands their language of “play,” and can guide them and help them feel better and behave better. Play therapy with a specialized, trained play therapist is the most effective and helpful therapy for children. For children to do the “work” of therapy, they also need a special environment, therapeutically set up for them, so they can regulate, and feel in control. Come visit our playroom, learn how play therapy works and how we can collaborate to help your family.
Couples therapy is also a different kind of therapy. The couple relationship is complicated, and can be extremely painful. Our job is help you stop having the same argument over and over, and help you both feel seen and heard. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we work together to decrease your pain, and increase your connection.
