Kristie Cain, LMFT-S, RPT-S, Founder
As a play therapist, as well as a former teacher, Kristie helps children and families work through struggles in a unique way, utilizing play to process and communicate. Play therapy with a specialized, trained play therapist is the most effective and impactful therapy for children. Kristie understands that therapy for children is very different. Children need someone who understands their language of “play,” and can guide them to help them feel better and behave better. Kristie meticulously planned the Connected Life Center so children can do the “work” of therapy. The unique and special environment that Kristie set up for them is therapeutically designed so they can regulate, and heal.
Her heart for others does not stop with children. Kristie is passionate about teens, moms, dads and families. Her vision for the Connected Life Center was to have one location where every family member can work individually and together in order to make home the peaceful, loving and fun place we all want it to be.
Kristie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Registered Play Therapist (RPT), MFT & RPT Supervisor, therapist educator and professional speaker. Kristie graduated with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a minor in Sociology from California State University, Fullerton, where she also earned her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Kristie specializes and educates in Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT). She is also trained in Brainspotting and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Kristie approaches her work with her heart first. Her ability to be in your struggle with you, combined with her talent to teach other therapists to do what she does makes Kristie and the Connected Life Center a very rare and special place.

Positions Available
We are looking for an extraordinary therapist, licensed or pre-licensed, to join our unique systemic work with children, teens, families and adults.
We are exceedingly systemic, and very often have more than one client (or therapist) in the therapy room. We use non-directive & directive play therapy and sand tray with children, teens, adults and families. You do not need to know play therapy, sand tray or be proficient in any of the theories of psychotherapy. We are looking for someone who is incredibly open to learning, enjoys collaborating with colleagues and willing to bring your heart, soul, mind and life experience into the room with clients and other staff. This is a full immersion of who-you-are position. It is challenging, and can be life changing and incredibly rewarding.
Jamee Genisauski, Care Specialist
Helping children and families is a driving passion for Jamee. Her big heart, warm and nurturing nature and compassion are felt be all of our clients and our CLC family. Her goal is to blur the line between staff and clients so that we all feel taken care of and like we are in this healing and growth together. Jamee has a gift for knowing what you need before you need it and never flinches at going the extra mile for anyone.
Jamee comes to us after spending over 20 years in the Child Development field and served as a teacher and a Preschool Director. Gaining her education from Vanguard University led to the achievement of her Certificate in Administration supplemented by multiple courses in child development.
Away from the office Jamee loves spending time with family, friends and strangers who quickly become friends. She is excited and grateful to be a part of the CLC family and is eager to connect with you and provide you the support and service you need.
Koa loves to cuddle, eat and sleep. She probably understands all of us better than we do ourselves. She is a brave little dog and will show any other k9 that she is the boss. Her ability to know just what you need; like sit with you when you are sad and play when you need to move is only overridden by her fascination with the gumball machine in the office.
